Delivery

Standard Delivery for mainland UK is a flat rate of £4.99 per order regardless of order size.

Orders are normally shipped Monday to Friday.

Orders placed and received before midday Monday to Friday will normally be shipped the same day, and orders shipped Monday to Thursday will normally be delivered next day.

Orders that are despatched on Friday will normally be delivered on Monday except for Bank Holidays.

Please note there may be some delays at the moment due to the knock-on effects of Covid-19.

Deliveries to Scottish Highlands and remote areas may take an extra day or so.

At present, we only deliver within the UK. We plan to resume international shipping in the future.

There are surcharges for off-shore locations, highlands and Islands.

Surcharges are set by the courier delivering your order. Unfortunately we have to pass on these surcharges to our customers otherwise we would be losing money.

Areas deemed to be off-shore, highlands, islands and remote locations are determined by our couriers and are not decided by us. Although we may agree with you, we cannot enter into discussions with customers as to whether an address should be included in the surcharge zone. Sorry 🙁

The following postcodes fall within our couriers’ surcharge zones.

Surcharges on deliveries to these postcodes are charged by the box. The surcharge is £12.99 per box and will be shown on checkout.

IV, HS, KA27-28, KW, PA20-49, PA60-78

We are always trying to get better prices to these areas and we appreciate this is not ideal.

Surcharges on deliveries to these postcodes are charged by the box. The surcharge is £12.99 per box and will be shown during checkout.

BT, IM, TR21-25

We are always trying to get better prices to these areas and we appreciate this is not ideal.

We do not despatch orders at weekends.

We cannot offer Saturday and Sunday delivery at present.

Online orders can be placed at weekends and goods will be despatched the next working day.  

We do not despatch orders on Public Holidays and Bank Holidays.

There are no deliveries on Public Holidays and Bank Holidays.

These days include Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day, and Good Friday, Easter Monday, Spring and Summer Bank Holidays.

Online orders can be placed on Public Holidays and Bank Holidays and goods will be despatched the next working day.

We use a courier called Parcelforce.

Parcelforce is part of the Royal Mail Network.

Parcelforce has a network of depots across the UK. You can find your local depot on https://www.parcelforce.com/depot-finder

If, despite our best efforts, the delivery cannot be made to your own home, you may collect your goods from a Parcelforce depot by arrangement. This will still be considered a delivery subject to a delivery charge.

When you place your order, you can elect to have your goods left somewhere safe if you are not going to be at home. This may be in a shed or greenhouse or somewhere you know the goods can be hidden. If you choose a wheelie bin, please make sure the bins are not due to be emptied.

You must elect for the goods to be left safe when you place your order. You cannot ask for your goods to be left safe after your goods have been shipped. If you opt to have your goods left safe, you do so at your own risk. We cannot be responsible for goods delivered to a safe place which later go missing.

Once you have received your shipping notice from The Alcohol-Free Shop, your goods will be in the hands of the courier.

You can then track your parcel live via IOS App and the courier’s website at www.parcelforce.com

You will receive an SMS or email message when your order is out for delivery giving you a 60 minute delivery window.

If you’re not going to be home, you can opt to have the goods left with a neighbour, ask for delivery on another working day or ask the driver to take the goods to your nearest Post Office for you to collect.

If you have not received your goods within 48 hours of receiving your shipping notice from The Alcohol-Free Shop please contact us.

Packages are shipped via a courier or haulier depending on the size of the order.

Most orders are shipped by the courier network but larger orders may be delivered by pallet.

You will be informed if your order will be delivered by pallet.

Pallet deliveries may take up to three days to arrive at your address from the point of shipping.

Pallet deliveries may arrive in large vehicles. Please ensure your chosen delivery address is able to receive deliveries from large lorries.

Your pallet will be delivered to your door wherever possible.

If the ground surface is unsuitable for the manoeuvre of pallets (such as an uneven or gravel surface) your pallet will be delivered to your roadside. Pallets manoeuvres can cause damage to lawns and planted areas.

If you have any concerns about your pallet delivery, please discuss this with us before your goods have been despatched.

We send shipping notices by email. If you have provided us with a valid email address, you will receive a shipping notice after your goods have been collected from us by the courier or haulier.

Please check your spam filter if you have not seen an email from The Alcohol-Free Shop within an hour after placing your order.

Please note we only ship orders Monday to Friday.

You will receive an email telling you when your order has been despatched. 

Orders despatched from Monday to Thursday will normally be delivered next day. Orders despatched on Friday should reach you on a Monday except for Bank Holidays.

We pay our couriers for the next-working day delivery but the next-working day delivery is not guaranteed. Delays may be incurred which are outside our control or the control of our couriers (such as road traffic accidents, adverse weather, customers not being in etc).

At busy times such as Christmas, shipping may be delayed. At times when despatch will take longer, we will endeavour to tell you as soon as possible if this is the case.

Please do not order unless there will be someone available to sign for the delivery, you are able to collect from a Post Office, or you opt for your order to be left in a safe place.

High-value orders will not be left without a signature.

We do not ship goods or deliver goods on Bank Holidays

We now ship our products in boxes with internal pulp-based protection around each bottle to ensure your order reaches you in one piece. They are also made from recycled paper and cardboard, and are recyclable and compostable.
